What is Mega Sic Bac?

Pragmatic Play launched Mega Sic Bac on July 3, 2024, describing it as a combination of Sic Bo's dice mechanics with the familiar Player/Banker/Tie wager set from baccarat. Four regular dice sit on the table, two assigned to Player and two to Banker, each pair in its own shaker. It is a Pragmatic Play Live production, the studio's live-dealer division rather than its RNG slots side, and the studio location itself has not been published. How does a round work?

Once betting closes, the Player shaker and the Banker shaker roll at the same time. Each side's two dice are added together for a total, and whichever side's total is higher wins the round; equal totals settle as a Tie. Pragmatic reports rounds averaging under 30 seconds, which is brisk even by live dice-game standards.

Between the close of betting and the dice coming to rest, the game runs its Payout Booster step: selected spots on the betting grid are randomly assigned a boosted payout multiplier. If a winning bet happens to sit on one of those boosted spots, it pays the higher rate instead of the base one. The boost is decided per round and is not something a player chooses or can influence.

Where do the Player, Banker and Tie odds come from?

Because each side rolls two regular dice, the maths behind Mega Sic Bac's three main outcomes follows straight from counting. A single die shows 1 through 6, so two dice added together produce a total from 2 to 12, and the eleven possible totals are not equally likely; totals near the middle can be built from more combinations of the two dice than totals near the ends.

Player and Banker each draw from this same distribution independently, so there are 36 possible Player totals times 36 possible Banker totals, or 1,296 equally likely combined outcomes. A Tie needs both sides to land on the same total, and since a total of 7 can happen 6 ways per side, a tied 7 alone accounts for 6 times 6, or 36, of those 1,296 combinations; a tied 2 or tied 12 accounts for only 1 combination each. Adding every matching pair together (1x1 + 2x2 + 3x3 + 4x4 + 5x5 + 6x6 + 5x5 + 4x4 + 3x3 + 2x2 + 1x1) gives 146 tying combinations out of 1,296, or 11.27%.

That leaves 1,150 combinations where the totals differ, and because Player and Banker are built from an identical pair of dice with no rule favoring either side, those 1,150 split evenly: 575 go to whichever side rolled higher on each occasion, so Player and Banker each win 575 of 1,296 combinations, or 44.37%. Nothing in the rules we could confirm gives Banker or Player a structural edge over the other; the split is symmetric by construction, the same way it is in a comparable dice-baccarat format like Bac Bo.

What can you bet on?

Mega Sic Bac spreads its action across three main bets and 21 side bets grouped into three families based on what the four dice show together.

Two things stand out. First, the gap between a base win and a boosted win is far wider on Tie and Quad than on Player or Banker, which is consistent with a feature designed to add excitement to the rarer, higher-payout bets without disturbing the near-even-money spots too much. Second, every boosted figure in that table still traces back to review sites rather than a Pragmatic rules page, except the 5,000x Quad ceiling, which Pragmatic's own launch material confirms directly as the game's maximum win.

What is the Payout Booster, and can you tell when it hits?

The Payout Booster is Mega Sic Bac's signature mechanic and the reason its payout table isn't fixed the way Bac Bo's is. After wagers lock in but before the dice stop moving, the game software randomly selects certain spots on the grid and assigns them a multiplier above the base rate. Reported figures put the ceiling at 5:1 on a boosted Player or Banker bet, 88:1 on a boosted Tie, and as high as 5,000:1 on a boosted Quad.

Here is where we have to be direct about a limitation: LiveCasinoData's feed for this table carries only the round's winner and winning total, nothing about which spots were boosted or by how much. Every round in our database therefore stores a flat 1.00x multiplier, which reflects a gap in what the feed reports, not a claim that boosts never happened at the table. What is the RTP of Mega Sic Bac?

Pragmatic Play's own game page does not print a numeric RTP for this table. In its absence, third-party review sites report an overall figure of 98.26%, breaking down to 98.26% on Player and Banker and 97.54% on Tie. We could not trace either number to a primary Pragmatic disclosure, so they should be read as reported-elsewhere rather than certified.

Our own collector configuration carries an internal placeholder of 96.5% used for backend comparisons; it is not a Pragmatic-certified figure, it predates any of the third-party numbers above, and it conflicts with the 98.26% figure those sites cite. That Tie share is close to what the same two-dice-per-side arithmetic produces above, where 146 of 1,296 equally likely dice combinations tie, or 11.27%. Setting the theoretical figures next to the observed ones:

None of those gaps are large next to the sample size. With 8,788 rounds, a true rate near 44% carries a statistical margin of roughly plus or minus 0.5 percentage point from sampling alone, and a true rate near 11% carries a margin of roughly plus or minus 0.3 points; every difference in the table sits inside or close to that range. Mega Sic Bac uses the identical two-dice-per-side structure for its main bets that produces this maths, so a similar split was expected going in, and the early numbers back that up without proving anything definitive yet. Just over three days and 8,788 rounds is a thin sample by our own standards elsewhere on the site; treat this as a first look, not a settled probability, and expect the split to move as more rounds accumulate. We could not measure boost frequency at all, since the feed carries no multiplier field for this table.

What can't the tracker feed tell you?

Pragmatic's results feed for this table, the same DGA lobby socket source behind several of its live tables, reports only two things per round: which side won, and the winning two-dice total. That is a narrower window than it might sound, and it is worth listing plainly what falls outside it:

• The individual face of any of the four dice, only the two-dice totals for whichever side is relevant to the result.
• Which grid spots the Payout Booster selected on a given round, or what multiplier those spots carried.
• Bet amounts or how many players were active at the table.
• Outcomes of any of the 21 Doubles, Triples or Quads side bets.
• The exact time a round started; only the settlement time is captured, so round duration cannot be measured precisely from our data.

None of this is a flaw specific to Mega Sic Bac; it is simply what Pragmatic's feed for this particular table exposes. If that feed is ever extended to include boost data, this guide and the Payout Booster page are where it would show up first.

How should you approach strategy and your bankroll?

Nothing about watching the dice, the booster's timing or the round history changes the odds of the next roll. Player and Banker sit close to a coin-flip split, Tie is the rarer outcome with the larger reported payout, and the Payout Booster is applied by the software after your bet is already locked in, so it cannot be predicted or chased.
