A round follows the same order every time:

1. Betting window. You have roughly 15 seconds to place chips on any combination of the 52 positions.
2. Mega Multiplier assignment. Just before the shake, the game randomly selects a handful of positions, our data shows an average of 4.26 per round, and gives each one a multiplier.
3. The shake. The dice shake for about five seconds and settle into a visible result.
4. Payout. Every position that matches the result pays. If a winning position had been given a Mega Multiplier, that multiplier replaces its standard payout for the round; unboosted winning positions pay their normal fixed odds.

Every shake is independent of the last one. What can you bet on across the 52-position grid?

The grid groups into eight bet families, and each one covers a different slice of the 216 possible three-dice outcomes. Small and Big are the broadest and cheapest to hold; Specific Triple is the narrowest and most expensive.

Small/Big and Odd/Even sit at the wide end: a total of 10 or 11 alone accounts for 27 of the 216 combinations each, the most of any single total, so betting Small or Big covers well over half the board. Specific Triple sits at the narrow end, with only one combination in 216 (0.46%) per chosen number.

Pragmatic's own paytable numbers for the non-boosted spots are not published on a page we could confirm directly, so the payouts above outside Small/Big/Odd/Even should be checked against the live table in the game client before you rely on them. What is confirmed is that Small, Big, Odd and Even are the only four spots Pragmatic never touches with a Mega Multiplier, which is also why they carry the game's best RTP.

How does the Mega Multiplier feature work?

Before each shake, Pragmatic's system randomly picks a set of grid positions, other than Small, Big, Odd and Even, and assigns each one a multiplier drawn from a fixed ladder. If the dice land on a boosted spot, that multiplier replaces the position's normal fixed odds entirely for the round; it is not added on top of the standard payout.

That replacement rule matters. A Specific Triple normally pays around 150:1. If that exact spot happened to be boosted with 500x that round and the dice cooperate, the position pays 500:1, not 150:1 plus 500:1. The boost either applies in full or, if the spot loses or wasn't selected, does nothing at all.

Our tracker has seen 14 distinct multiplier values offered across the 2,860 rounds recorded so far: 5x, 10x, 12x, 15x, 20x, 25x, 30x, 50x, 88x, 150x, 250x, 500x, 888x and the 1000x ceiling. Of those, 1000x has been offered 170 times without yet being landed as a paid result; the richest multiplier actually paid in our sample is 888x, which has hit four times, always on a Specific Triple.

Averaged across the 4.26 boosted positions per round, only a fraction end up winning, since most positions on a 52-spot board lose most rounds. In our sample, 826 of the 2,860 rounds, 28.88%, had at least one boosted position both selected and won. When that happened, the paid multiplier averaged 36.2x with a median of 20x and a 90th-percentile result of 88x, figures pulled well above their median by the rare Specific Triple hits.

What is the RTP and house edge in Mega Sic Bo?

The ceiling RTP is 97.22%, reached only on Small, Big, Odd and Even, giving those four spots a house edge of 2.78%. Every other bet family carries a lower RTP because it can be boosted, but also because its base odds run below fair value, the same as any casino game.

That range for the boosted bet families is a third-party estimate, not a figure Pragmatic has published on an official RTP page we could confirm, so treat any single decimal quoted for, say, Specific Triple with some caution until it is checked against a live paytable.

One point is worth stating plainly, because it is easy to mix up: the 28.88% boosted-round rate and the 36.2x average paid boost cannot be multiplied together to imply some higher game-wide return. The multiplier only applies to the specific covered spot that was both selected for a boost and happened to win, never to a player's whole stake and never to Small, Big, Odd or Even money. How do our tracked dice totals compare with the theoretical odds?

Across all 2,860 rounds we have tracked, every dice-total bin lands within roughly a point and a half of what three fair dice should produce, consistent with an unbiased shaker over this sample size. With three dice there are 216 equally likely combinations; totals of 10 and 11 each have 27 of them (12.5%), the most of any sum, while 3 and 18 each have only 1 (0.46%).

The one number that jumps out is 18, triple sixes: theory predicts roughly 13 occurrences over 2,860 rounds and we recorded zero. That is a real gap, but it is also exactly the kind of small-sample noise a 0.46% event produces over a single day of play, not evidence of anything unusual. We would need a far larger window before a missing triple-six meant anything.

That caveat applies to this whole guide. Our collector only began recording Mega Sic Bo on 2026-08-27, so as of 2026-08-28 every figure here comes from roughly 29 hours and 2,860 rounds, the same number whether you look at the 30-day, 90-day or all-time window on the tracker, because there is no longer history yet. How often does the Mega Multiplier actually pay big?

In our sample, a Mega-boosted spot wins somewhere on the board about once every 3.5 rounds on average, but a genuinely large multiplier is far rarer than that pace suggests. Only 27 of 2,860 rounds, 0.94%, paid 100x or more on a boosted position, and just 12 rounds, 0.42%, paid 500x or more.

Put another way, roughly 1 in every 106 rounds pays 100x or more on a boosted spot in our data so far, while a boosted win of some size shows up around 1 in every 3.5 rounds. Those are very different bars: most boosted wins are the modest end of the ladder, and the big multipliers stay rare even within an already-rare event.

The gaps between hits tell a similar story. The average wait between 100x-or-better boosted wins was 107.5 rounds, with a longest observed gap of 347 rounds so far. The average wait between any boosted win at all was just 3.5 rounds, and the longest stretch without one was 17 rounds. Specific Triple bets stand out for size rather than frequency: they won boosted only 16 times in the whole sample, but averaged 414.4x on those wins, versus 533 boosted wins on Combination bets averaging just 16.6x. Combination bets win boosted often and small; Specific Triple bets win boosted rarely and large.

The four biggest paid multipliers so far were all 888x on Specific Triple bets: total 12 on 2026-08-27 at 22:16, total 15 on 2026-08-27 at 09:52, and total 9 twice, at 06:01 and 12:46 on 2026-08-27. A cluster of 500x hits followed on Specific Triple 1 (total 3), Total 4, Specific Triple 3 (total 9), Total 17 twice, and Specific Triple 2 (total 6), all within the same roughly 29-hour window.

What are the most common Mega Sic Bo mistakes?

The costliest habits are treating the Mega Multiplier as something a player can target, misreading average boosted payouts as typical ones, and assuming a wide betting spread improves the odds.

• Trying to pick the boosted spot. The game assigns Mega Multipliers randomly before the shake, and you cannot see which positions are boosted until after bets close. Betting a spot because "it feels due" for a boost has no basis; the selection is independent of any pattern in past rounds.
• Reading the 36.2x average as a normal result. The average paid boost in our sample is pulled up by rare Specific Triple hits worth several hundred times stake. The median paid boost is 20x, and most boosted wins land well below the average, the same way a handful of large salaries can pull up an office's average pay far above what most people earn.

Two more habits worth naming directly: covering many positions at once feels safer but does not raise the blended RTP above 97.22%, since that ceiling only exists on Small, Big, Odd and Even; and chasing a triple after a long gap ignores that each shake is independent, so the odds of a Specific Triple stay at 1 in 216 no matter how many rounds have passed since the last one.

How should you manage your bankroll in Mega Sic Bo?

Decide a loss limit in money before you start, bet flat rather than chasing losses with bigger stakes, and put most of your action on Small, Big, Odd or Even if your goal is to make a bankroll last.
